Our Federal Industrial Fall Protection Training course is designed for workers operating at heights under federal jurisdiction across Canada. This program ensures compliance with the Canada Labour Code Part II, Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations Section 12.9, and the competency elements outlined in CSA Standard Z259 for fall protection systems and equipment.
Participants will learn critical fall prevention techniques, safe equipment use, hazard recognition, and rescue planning to minimize the risk of workplace falls.
This comprehensive training covers:
- Required Competency Elements from the CSA Z259 Standard for Fall Protection
- Provisions of the Canada Labour Code Part II and Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations Section 12.9
- Hazard Identification, Risk Assessments, and Contributing Factors
- Conducting Pre-Use Inspections of Fall Protection Equipment
- Fall Prevention Techniques: Guardrails, Protective Covers, and Barriers

While similar in scope, the Federal Fall Protection Training is designed to meet the specific legislative requirements outlined in the Canada Labour Code Part II and the Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations Section 12.9. In contrast, Ontario Fall Protection Training aligns with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Ontario) and the Working at Heights Training Standard. Employers must select the correct training based on their regulatory obligations.
