HAZWOPER Refresher (8 hour) Training
Course Details
Every year after the initial 40-hour HAZWOPER training requirement has been met, workers who wish to maintain a current certification under the HAZWOPER standard must be updated. This training program meets the requirements outlined in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 for 8 (eight) hours of annual refresher training. The training program is composed of topics and can be customized to focus on topics that pertain to workplace hazards for workers associated with hazardous waste / materials operations.
The 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher is offered to those who wish to maintain a current 29 CFR 1910.120 HAZWOPER certification.
Note: Participants must wear appropriate CSA footwear.
Course Duration:
8 Hours
Training Is Valid For:
1 year from the date of successful completion.
Materials Provided:
Course materials, videos and participant workbooks.
Certificate Issued:
Upon completion, students will be issued a certificate and wallet card showing proof of their training.

Need the Full 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training?
Our comprehensive 40-Hour HAZWOPER training meets the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 for workers engaged in hazardous waste operations, site cleanup, treatment, storage and disposal, and emergency response. This intensive 4-day program covers legislation and standards, hazard recognition, confined spaces, PPE, spill control, decontamination, air quality monitoring, and includes hands-on practical exercises with full chemical protective gear. Required for workers who have not yet received initial HAZWOPER certification.
What The Course Includes
The HAZWOPER standard applies to employers and their employees and specifically includes any employees who are exposed to hazardous substances and who are engaged in several operations including clean-up, treatment, storage and disposal of hazardous waste. In addition, workers involved in an emergency response operation dealing with hazardous waste and workers who have to perform duties at a waste site where hazardous materials or contamination are equally expected to be fully trained and protected.
