Prior to any planning for this kind of workshop, a safety consultant will consult with the client to discuss what kinds of confined spaces their workers typically go into and how we would best practice a mock rescue. A plan will be developed that is dependent on the risk involved in the mock rescue.
If the company does not have a written confined space policy and procedure, including a written rescue procedure, we may request that one be drawn up or updated prior to this kind of workshop.
If it is felt that a mock rescue may cause injury to a person, we will rescue a weighted object such as a hockey bag.
All rescue equipment must be provided by the client on the day of the workshop.

About Training In The North
Due to the distance between many northern communities, most in-person safety training in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories must be scheduled in advance. To keep costs down, we coordinate group sessions by bringing together multiple businesses in the same area. If your organization requires training, let us know — we’ll work to organize a session and connect with others in your region. When visiting smaller communities, we offer as many courses as possible to support continued health and safety compliance. To be notified of upcoming training in your area, please contact us today.
