ACUTE’s flagship training centre in Waterloo spans over 10,000 sq ft and is purpose-built for immersive, hands-on safety education. The facility features multiple dedicated classrooms, practical evaluation zones, confined space simulation environments, and real tools and equipment throughout. Conveniently located minutes from Highway 8 and the Conestoga Parkway (Highway 85) with free on-site parking and public transit access via Grand River Transit.

We are open Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 4:00PM.

What payment methods do you accept?
For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Electronic Funds Transfers.
Do you offer group or corporate training at this location?
Our facility is available to host both private training sessions for companies, and public training for individuals.
Are you courses MLITSD approved?
Yes! We proudly offer the following Chief Prevention Officer (CPO) approved training programs: Working at Heights, Working at Heights Refresher, JHSC Part 1, JHSC Part 2 and JHSC Refresher.
Is parking available at the Waterloo location?
Yes, we offer parking on-site for our participants
Is public transit available to the facility?
Yes. The facility is accessible by local public transit operated by Grand River Transit. Several GRT bus routes run along Bridge Street West, with stops located within walking distance of the unit. Additional nearby service is available along Erb Street West and University Avenue West, which connect to major transit corridors. For the most accurate stop numbers, routes, and schedules based on your starting location, we recommend using the GRT trip planner.
Do you have on-site food or nearby restaurants?
Yes, we have several restaurants nearby including St. Louis Bar and Grill, Double Taste Shawarma. Harper’s Deli, Browns Socialhouse Waterloo, Pickle Barrel, Wildcraft Grill + Long Bar, Beertown and more.
What should I bring on the day of my training?
Our guests should bring any specific food/beverages they may wish to consume throughout their day. We do offer coffee, tea, and water. Meals are not provided.
What happens if I’m late for my course?
We understand that things can happen beyond our control to result in participants being later for training. For any CPO training sessions, we must adhere to the training guidelines. Participants who are more than 10 minutes late for training may be excused. Additionally, participants may NOT miss more that 30 minutes combined for the duration of the training. For Non-CPO training sessions, consideration will be given for each instance. We do ask participants to always try to let us know if they will be late, as long as it is safe to do so, so that we can make sure the trainer is aware.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Changes and/or cancellations can be made up to 5 business days prior to the scheduled date of training.
Do you provide PPE for training?
PPE is very specific to the individual. Participants are asked to bring their own PPE as required for each training session (check your registration confirmation email for details). If you do not have PPE, we always have extra on hand.
