Course Details
The Mobile Crane course provides essential training for operators to safely and effectively use cranes on job sites. Cranes are invaluable assets for moving heavy materials, but when used improperly, they can cause severe harm or even fatalities. This course emphasizes the importance of understanding crane operations, safe slinging, and rigging practices to prevent accidents. Participants will learn the legal requirements for lifting devices, how to identify potential hazards, and the best practices for crane setup, load planning, and handling. Through this program, operators will gain the knowledge needed to make informed decisions, mitigate risks, and perform hoisting and rigging tasks safely on any job site.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS AS REQUIRED BY THE “OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT AND REGULATIONS”
Occupational Health and Safety Act – Sections 25(2)(a),(c),(d),(h)
Regulation 851 for Industrial Establishments -Sections 51(1),(2) and 54-59
Regulation 213 for Construction Projects – Section 150-156

Course Duration:
5-6 Hours
Materials Provided:
Course materials and participant workbooks.
Certificate Issued:
Upon completion, students will be issued a certificate and wallet card showing proof of their training.
No Charge Cancellation:
If you cannot attend, contact us at least 5 business days prior to receive a full refund.
Practical Skills Evaluation
Certification of competency requires successful completion of both a written examination and a practical skills assessment. Upon completing the program, participants must pass a final exam with a minimum score of 75%. Up to three attempts are permitted. (this is for each course – not just elearning)
Candidates must then complete a practical evaluation within 90 days of passing the final exam. The fee for us to complete the practical assessment is $70+tax per person, per piece of equipment. You may also have your employer (or another qualified evaluator) complete this on your behalf. Participants must ensure:
- They have sufficient hands-on experience with each piece of equipment being assessed
- The equipment has current annual certification and inspection documentation
- The equipment is in safe working condition and properly maintained
Please Note
- We do not offer public, in-person practical evaluations at our facility. All practical assessments are conducted at your workplace or job site.
- We do not supply, rent, or provide lifting devices. Our services are limited to training and certification only.
