About the Role

SafetyCo is seeking a Site Safety Officer to support a 2-month construction project in London, Ontario. This field-based role is ideal for a safety professional who is confident working independently on active job sites while collaborating with project teams to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

You will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, identifying hazards, and promoting a strong safety culture on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine site inspections, identify hazards, and provide clear, actionable reports
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of health and safety programs
  • Deliver site orientations and verify worker training compliance
  • Collaborate with supervisors and contractors to mitigate risks
  • Participate in project and safety meetings, providing recommendations
  • Assist with incident investigations and documentation
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario OHSA and Construction Regulations (O. Reg. 213/91)
  • Experience with inspections, hazard identification, and reporting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
